              What is a UIC Code?

              Wagon numbers (or coach numbers) are key data for railway operations. UIC codes help identify and track railway wagons for railway operators, infrastructure companies and transportation authorities. UIC, by the way, stands for the the French name of the International Union of Railways.

              Carmen® UIC offers automatic recognition of UIC codes on railway wagons with the highest accuracy and recognition rates in the industry.

              The image source can either be analog, digital or IP cameras – Carmen® UIC accepts still images or MJPEG video streams as well.
