Like in the years before, we exhibited at Connect:ID 2019 in Washington DC. It is always a joint success – an event with a clear focus, with main technology providers exhibiting, so it is a super hub for exhibitors like us to contact all sorts of decision makers and government agencies. ARH’s trainer Dora Gecse and sales manager Balazs Molnar tell us about their time at Connect:ID 2019.

All in all, how did it go?

It was a great opportunity to make contacts, getting to know complementary technological service providers, see the latest trends in product development – in short, to look around and see what’s new in the industry.

In general, who were the exhibitors and who were the visitors?

The exhibitors are typically major stakeholders of the industry: companies who have something to do with biometrics. Some of the exhibitors were US government agencies. Many visitors are also from the government sector, and a great many are system integrators.

How does ARH fit into the picture?

We are noted for our expertise in all-round personal identity verification – in particular, our forte is ID scanning, passport reading and authentication.

Such an event is always a great opportunity to feel industry trends and catch up with the latest developments. What was in focus this year – where is the industry headed?

Clearly, the latest trend is the development of mobile and portable devices: combined and integrated solutions involving ID scanner, camera, fingerprint, live face recognition – as well as fast and secure document reading and authentication. It is a great achievement for ARH to be in the front line of such a competitive industry.

So what do you think is the secret behind ARH’s success?

Our live demo at the expo attracted quite a crowd: visitors could try our passport reader and see how it works. Our growing representative network was definitely an advantage and visitors also appreciated competitive advantages like 3 years of manufacturer’s warranty on all ID readers, the fact that our products are made in the EU. As a bonus, clients can get both hardware and software from the same developer/manufacturer: ARH Inc.

Other than that, well, our US clients are aware and appreciative of direct support and sales presence in the United States, ARH’s 28 years of field-tested industry experience is no doubt exceptional and people absolutely love our product catalog.
