HOW DO YOU GATHER TRAFFIC DATA?
Gantries probably offer the ideal camera positioning for traffic monitoring. ARH’s Trafficspot, a highly customizable gantry-based monitoring system, collects valuable data on road traffic. It is an advanced automatic modular multi-sensor system that helps traffic authorities – or highway management organizations – to overview traffic, optimize traffic control, collect road toll and generally streamline transportation. As a flagship solution of ARH’s ITS portfolio, it is in line with a new Smart City endeavor: to automatically forecast, recognize and manage challenging traffic issues.
Trafficspot gathers a wide range of data: automatically recognizes any kind of number plates (ANPR), measures the dimensions of each passing vehicle, counts the axles and marks vehicle category. HOW DO YOU TAP INTO TRAFFIC DATA?
How do you store, process and query databases? The massive amount of gathered traffic data is expertly handled by ARH’s GDS, a dedicated traffic data server – connected to one or multiple endpoints, offering unique benefits.
HOW DO YOU IMPROVE ROAD SAFETY?
Maintaining the rule of the road is a major concern in many jurisdictions. ARH’s S1 is a no-staff mobile speed and traffic enforcement camera with on-board ANPR. It can spot a vehicle from 1200 meters (4000 feet) away and it is capable of certified speed measurement from 600 meters (2000 feet) away. The unique high-precision built-in laser technology reaches as far as no other device on the market.
The camera is extremely portable: setup takes less than two minutes. After setup, no human assistance is required: the camera measures the speed and uploads a data package of each passing vehicle event (or just the violators’) data via a secured and encrypted channel. The uploaded customizable results include license plate data, speed, GPS coordinates and a time stamp. The result files are encrypted and cannot be altered.
